What I play

The music I play

Weddings, corporate events and other celebrations are nothing like a disco or a club night. When choosing a DJ, read offers carefully: a club DJ can be excellent at what they do and still be completely lost at a wedding or company party. Pick someone with the right experience who has hosting such events in their blood and knows what, how and when to play, change and do. They must be able to read the guests' mood and react promptly to requests.

Over the years I've worked on weddings and similar events I've learned what people usually like, what mood they're in at which point, when to pull them onto the dance floor and when to let them catch their breath. Here's a quick overview of music that almost always works.

International hits of the 80s

Madonna · Bon Jovi · Michael Jackson · Queen · George Michael · Bruce Springsteen · Eurythmics · and many more

International hits of the 90s

MC Hammer · Dr. Alban · Aqua · Spice Girls · Vanilla Ice · Nirvana · R.E.M · and much more

International hits from 2000 to today

Pink · Rihanna · Enrique Iglesias · Justin Timberlake · Ed Sheeran · Pharrell Williams · OneRepublic · Justin Bieber · LMFAO · and many more

Czech and Slovak hits of the 50s–80s

Karel Gott · Helena Vondráčková · Michal David · Elán · Olympic · Dalibor Janda · Team · and lots of other classics

Czech and Slovak hits from the 90s to today

Lucie · No Name · Xindl X · Chinaski · Horkýže Slíže · Ewa Farna · Kabát · Divokej Bill · and many songs you know best

Beyond these hits, depending on the event, I can add harder rock, more rock'n'roll, brass-band music, folk, disco hits and so on. I'm open to all musical wishes as long as the music suits the event – you'll agree that trash metal hardly fits a wedding.

At weddings with guests from German-speaking countries, a number of older and current German-language hits and schlager will of course be played too. My repertoire is wide, but I'm glad to take advice on specific songs.

The repertoire is agreed in advance with the couple, who have the final say – and that's binding for me. If the couple doesn't want, say, Michal David or Karel Gott at their wedding, that's the end of it. I'll explain the situation to guests who want such music and offer suitable alternatives. An event like this doesn't stand or fall on one musical style – there are plenty of well-known, beautiful songs that get the party going.
